What is the MX-filter and what do I need it for?
The MX-filter from Barracuda is your powerful spam and virus protection for your company's mailboxes.
Barracuda is the leading provider for the detection and blocking of spam. Barracuda identifies emails from known spammers and recognizes whether domains embedded in emails lead to known spam or malware domains.
It uses industry-leading techniques to protect against attack attempts by embedding text in images to sneak content past traditional spam filters.
What is the difference between the MX-Filter and the MX-Filter Lite?
The mechanisms used by the MX Filter and MX Filter Lite are identical. Both plans offer you the best possible protection against spam messages and viruses.
The MX-Filter Lite uses the standard Barracuda settings as a basis.
In contrast to the Lite version, the MX-Filter gives you access to the online administration interface of the MX Filter and allows you to view the message logs and manage white and black lists.
Can I make entries in the blacklist myself?
Independent management of your spam and virus protection is only included in the MX Filter product.
With MX-Filter, you get your own access to the online administration interface and can view the message logs directly online, report spam and false positives and also manage white and black lists.
